Summer Can be a Challenge!

Check out these great tips that will help you stay on track whether you’re on program or maintaining your weight. You've got this!


Always have a plan.

  • Going to a BBQ? Offer to bring a side dish that is Ideal Protein friendly.

  • Take a nice bottle of Pellegrino instead of wine.

  • Have an IP food before you go to curb your hunger.


Be prepared.

  • With all the summer activities it’s easy to slip up and grab what is convenient. Plan (there’s that word again) and prepare your meals for grab on the go. Make sure to have an Ideal Protein food handy if you get stuck.


Get Creative.

How can you substitute your Summer favorites with Ideal Protein-friendly

alternatives?

  • Have a lettuce wrap burger

  • o Celery Root Potato Salad

  • Make popsicles with an IP drink

  • Have a IP Pina Colada!


Write out your “WHY”.

  • Why are you on this journey? Improving your health, reducing medications, being able to play with your grandchildren, the list goes on. What’s most important to you? Write it down and put it on your bathroom mirror, keep a copy with you to pull out if you need the reminder.


Change your focus.

  • We usually think of holiday’s as time to eat and drink, turn that around and think of it as time to spend time with friends and family.


We’ve all experienced dealing with social pressures, here are some suggestions:

  • “I’m full”

  • “I have allergies”

  • “I’ve been prescribed a medical protocol that reduces carbs and sugars”

  • “I’m doing a cleanse”

  • “I’m driving”

  • “I’m taking a prescription and can’t drink alcohol”


Make sure to drink lots of water.
