How do I lose my fat?

This is a question asked by many, many people. It is the number one search phrase for weight loss. Unfortunately millions of different search results come up and it’s hard to know where to start.


The standard ‘calories in, calories out’ approach just doesn’t work. Generally half the weight loss you see on the scale is muscle. For example, a 20 pound weight loss probably means 10 pounds of fat and unfortunately 10 pounds of muscle loss. Muscle is the engine that burns calories so it's vital to maintain muscle to keep the weight off.

This fat includes dietary sources of fat. If you want your body to be using its own stores of fat in order to lose your own body fat quickly, eating high amounts of outside sources of fat just doesn’t make sense! The length of time on protocol will depend on how much weight you have to lose.
